The Passion Fruit Spritz is the perfect drink to celebrate summer. It is refreshing, fizzy and with a sweet-sour tropical taste that complements the Aperol. Last but not least, its bright color shouts summer, sun, energy and fun!

I already shared with you how much Rob and I love Spritz as it has marked the start of our weekends and our holidays over the years. I must confess that  I have been quite passionate about passion fruit for several years now,  and I still remember that surprise when I tasted it in Thailand many years ago: the sweeteners and sourness at the same time is incredible!

This recipe is a twist on the classic Aperol spritz and what makes it outstanding is the use of Fabbri MixyBar Passion Fruit Plus

How to make Passion Fruit Spritz

For the Passion Fruit Spritz, I stayed true to the original Aperol Spritz recipe as much as I could. The classic Aperol Spritz formula is 3:2:1. For this recipe, we use 3 units of prosecco, 1.5 of Aperol, 1.5 of passion fruit Fabbri Syrup and 1 of sparkling water. As a garnish I recommend to mix in half passion fruit and a sprig of mint.

This cocktail is super easy to make in just few quick steps, that you will find clearly explained in the recipe card below.

What is important to keep in mind to make this Passion Fruit Aperol Spritz unique is:

Use ice: it will keep your drink fresh longer.

Follow the doses as per the recipe: Passion fruit syrup is sweet and contrast well the taste of Aperol, a bit bitter and herbaceous.

Use a bit of Sparkling water or Soda water: it add additional fizz!

Do not skip the passion fruit pulp and the mint: they add that tropical element and they will make you feel you are on holiday!

If you cannot find passion fruit, you can use an orange slice, or a mango slice to garnish your drinks!

Happy Summer!
