Caprese Salad will be your favorite summer salad! With just a few premium ingredients and minimal preparation, you can enjoy one of the most iconic dishes in Italian cuisine.
Wash and slice the tomatoes into even, ¼-inch thick slices. Lay them out on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
STEP 2: Slice the Mozzarella:
Drain the mozzarella and gently pat it dry. Slice into rounds roughly the same thickness as the tomatoes.
STEP 3: Assemble the salad
Alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella in a circular pattern on a serving platter. Tuck basil leaves between the layers or scatter them over the top.
STEP 4: Season and Dress:
Sprinkle a generous pinch of sea salt over the salad. Drizzle with high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Add freshly cracked black pepper if desired.
